How do I get to Knebworth Park?

By train

The nearest station is Stevenage, about 4 miles from the concert field, with Great Northern and Thameslink trains from London King's Cross, Finsbury Park and Moorgate in 25–30 minutes.

  • Knebworth station: Closer at about 2.5 miles, but served by fewer trains and with no pedestrian route to the park worth walking after dark.
  • Shuttle buses: Every large Knebworth concert runs shuttle coaches from Stevenage station to the park. The ride takes 15–20 minutes and the queue builds for about two hours after the headline set.
  • Late trains: Great Northern adds late services out of Stevenage on concert nights.

By bus

There is no ordinary bus route to the concert field. Knebworth's public transport on a show day is the shuttle.

  • Shuttle coaches: Between Stevenage station and the park through the afternoon and for about two hours after the show. A return fare is sold with the ticket or at the station.
  • Local buses: Arriva services link Stevenage bus station with Knebworth village, which is a 40-minute walk from the park entrance and further again to the stage.
  • Coach parties: Organised coaches set down inside the estate, closer to the arena than the shuttle stop.

Where can I park?

Knebworth Park is off the A1(M) at junction 7, and the estate's own fields take the parking.

  • Sat nav: SG1 2AX is the event entrance on the A1(M) side. The house's own postcode, SG3 6PY, points at the village side of the estate and is the wrong way in on a concert day.
  • Parking: Temporary car parks are on the estate, signposted from the A1(M) and charged per vehicle. A pass is cheaper bought in advance.
  • Leaving: The fields empty in a staged order and the queue back to the A1(M) regularly runs past midnight.
  • Drop-off: There is a separate set-down point; the main approach roads close to through traffic while the crowd leaves.
