Adelaide Oval

The nearest mainline station is Adelaide Railway Station (Gawler Place, North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000). From the station, it is approximately a 12-minute walk north. Exit the station onto North Terrace, then proceed across the River Torrens via the Adelaide Oval Footbridge (Riverbank Bridge) which leads directly to the Oval's southern plaza.

Numerous Adelaide Metro bus routes serve the city centre. Key bus stops are located on King William Road and Pennington Terrace, immediately adjacent to the Oval's perimeter. During major events, dedicated express bus services often operate from various suburban locations. Consult Adelaide Metro for specific route details and event day schedules.

The Festival Centre Car Park (King William Road, Adelaide SA 5000) is a multi-story facility located south of the River Torrens, requiring a 15-minute walk north across the Riverbank Bridge to reach the Oval. Additional temporary event parking is frequently available in surrounding parklands such as Pinky Flat (west of the Oval) and Torrens Parade Ground (south of the Oval). Expect significant congestion on event days; advance booking for commercial car parks is highly recommended, and specific event parking arrangements should be checked prior to arrival.

Entry to Adelaide Oval is via multiple designated gates (e.g., South Gate, East Gate, North Gate, West Gate), specified on your ticket. Queue arrangements are typically well-managed but can be substantial for major events. Standard bag searches and security screenings are enforced. To ensure a smooth entry and avoid missing any performances, arriving at least 60-90 minutes before the scheduled start time is advisable.
