Alexandra Theatre

Birmingham New Street Station is the closest mainline railway hub, approximately an 8-minute walk west. From the station's main exit onto Smallbrook Queensway (near Grand Central), proceed west along Smallbrook Queensway. This road seamlessly transitions into Suffolk Street Queensway, with the theatre located on the right-hand side.

Numerous National Express West Midlands bus routes serve the city centre. Key bus stops are located on Smallbrook Queensway, Paradise Street, and Corporation Street, all within a 5-minute walk of the theatre. Birmingham Coach Station in Digbeth offers national coach links; from there, it is a 20-minute walk or a short bus ride (routes 60, X1, 50) to the city centre.

Several multi-storey car parks are within a 10-minute radius. Q-Park Mailbox and Town Hall Multi-Storey Car Park are both accessible options, located a 5-7 minute walk away. NCP New Street is also an option, though slightly further. Expect city centre parking fees, especially during evening peak times, and advance booking is highly recommended to secure a space and potentially reduce costs.

The main entrance is situated directly on Suffolk Street Queensway. Queuing for entry typically forms along the pavement outside the theatre. Standard theatre security protocols are in place, including bag searches, which may cause slight delays. It is advisable to arrive 30 to 45 minutes before the advertised start time, especially for popular performances, to allow ample time for entry, collecting tickets, and finding your seat without rush.
