Aztec Theatre San Antonio

San Antonio's Amtrak station (350 Hoefgen Ave) is approximately 1.5 miles southeast of the Aztec Theatre. Walking from the station is not practical; a connecting VIA Metropolitan Transit bus service (e.g., Route 28) or a ride-share service is recommended for onward travel to the downtown area.

The Aztec Theatre is well-served by VIA Metropolitan Transit. Numerous bus routes stop within a short walk of the venue. Key stops include St Mary's & Commerce Street (Routes 2, 3, 4, 5, 26, 301, 305, 309, 313, 320, 321, 340, 350) and Navarro & Houston Street (Routes 2, 4, 5, 26, 301, 305, 309, 313). These stops are generally less than a 3-minute walk to the venue's entrance on St. Mary's Street.

Several parking garages are available within a 10-minute walk. Recommended options include the Travis Street Garage (301 E Travis St), Houston Street Garage (201 E Houston St), and the Central Library Garage (600 Soledad St). Fees are standard for downtown San Antonio; advance booking through apps like ParkWhiz or SpotHero is advisable for popular events to secure a spot and potentially reduce costs, as congestion can be high on event nights.

The primary entrance is located directly on N St Mary's Street. Queue arrangements typically form along the sidewalk. Expect standard security procedures, including bag searches, upon entry. Large bags may be prohibited. Arriving 30-45 minutes before the advertised door time is recommended to allow ample time for security checks and to navigate to your desired viewing area within the historic space.
