Beaver Stadium

University Park is not directly served by mainline rail. The nearest Amtrak station is Lewistown (LST), located approximately 45 miles southeast, requiring onward road transport (taxi, ride-share, or pre-booked shuttle service) for an estimated 45-60 minute journey to reach the venue.

The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) provides extensive service across the Penn State University Park campus and State College area. Key bus stops proximate to Beaver Stadium can be found along Curtin Road and Porter Road. Relevant CATA routes include the Blue Loop and White Loop for campus circulation, and local routes such as the 20 North Atherton for connections from State College.

Numerous official Penn State parking lots surround the stadium, including Lots 11, 12, 44, 80, and 81. For major events, parking passes are often required and must be pre-booked well in advance via the Penn State Athletics website. Expect significant congestion on event days and plan for high fees. Walking distances from the outer parking lots to the stadium entrances can range from 10 to 20 minutes.

Entry to Beaver Stadium is facilitated through multiple numbered gates, typically corresponding to specific seating sections or ticket types. Security procedures are standard for large venues, including bag searches (with a strict clear bag policy usually in effect) and metal detector screenings. Arriving 90 to 120 minutes prior to the scheduled event start time is highly recommended to allow ample time for parking, walking, and clearing security checkpoints.
