How do I get to Canadian Tire Centre, Kanata?
Canadian Tire Centre is at 1000 Palladium Dr, Ottawa, ON K2V 1A4, Canada, Kanata. Open in Google Maps
By train and tube
The O-Train light rail network does not directly serve Kanata. The nearest O-Train Line 1 station, Moodie, is approximately 15 kilometres from the venue and would necessitate a subsequent bus journey (OC Transpo routes may vary) of approximately 25-30 minutes to reach the arena, or a considerable taxi fare. There is no mainline rail station within convenient proximity.
By bus
OC Transpo provides several routes to the Canadian Tire Centre area. On event days, special event express routes (e.g., 404, 405) are typically active, offering direct service from various park-and-ride lots and transit hubs across Ottawa. Regular routes like the 61 and 62 serve the Kanata area, with stops on Palladium Drive near the arena. Consult the OC Transpo website for specific event day schedules and stop information.
By car and parking
Extensive surface parking lots (P1 through P8) are available directly surrounding the arena complex. Fees are charged upon entry, with options for cash or card payment at the gate, and pre-booking online is often available and highly recommended, particularly for major events. Expect significant traffic congestion on Palladium Drive and surrounding access roads both pre-event and, especially, post-event when departing.
Accessibility
The OVO Arena Wembley is committed to providing a welcoming and accessible experience for all its visitors. Wheelchair access is available throughout the venue, including dedicated entrances, lifts to all levels, and a variety of accessible seating areas offering excellent sightlines. Accessible toilets are strategically located across all public areas. Induction loop systems are available for patrons with hearing impairments; it is advisable to arrange this in advance with the venue's accessibility team. Assistance dogs are permitted within the arena, and facilities for service animals can be arranged. Accessible parking is situated in close proximity to the venue, and venue staff are on hand to provide assistance with navigation and seating upon arrival, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free visit.
Entry and security
Entry gates are located around the arena's perimeter. Standard security procedures include bag checks and metal detector screening. For optimal entry experience and to allow time for navigation and concessions, it is advisable to arrive at least 45-60 minutes prior to the scheduled event start time, especially for high-attendance shows. Consult your ticket or the venue's official website for specific gate numbers and policies related to bag sizes.
