Casey's Center

Des Moines does not have a passenger rail station for mainline, metro, or light rail services. Long-distance Amtrak services connect via Osceola, Iowa, approximately a 45-minute drive south, making it impractical for local event travel.

Casey's Center is well-served by Des Moines Area Regional Transit (DART) bus routes. The nearest major stop is the DART Central Station, a 9-minute walk east via Grand Avenue, which is a hub for numerous routes including 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 14, 16, and 17. Several other stops are located within a 5-minute walk along 3rd Street and Locust Street.

Multiple parking garages are available within a 10-minute walk. The "Ruan Center Parking Garage" (601 E Locust St) is an 8-minute walk east, offering hourly rates. The "Nationwide Parking Garage" (1200 Keo Way) is a 9-minute walk north-west. Event-specific parking is often available at the "Iowa Events Center Parking Garage" (730 3rd St), directly adjacent, which can be pre-booked online, though congestion is significant immediately before and after events. Standard fees apply, and advance booking is recommended to secure a space and potentially reduce queuing.

The primary entrance is located on 3rd Street. Doors typically open 60 minutes before the advertised show time. Attendees should anticipate security checks including bag searches and metal detector screening. To minimize queuing, arriving 45-30 minutes before the scheduled start is advisable, especially for sold-out events.
