Children's Mercy Park

Direct mainline or metro rail access to Children's Mercy Park is not available. The closest major rail station is Kansas City Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri, approximately 17 miles to the east. This station is served by Amtrak, but it does not provide direct public transit links suitable for event arrival.

The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) provides some service to the Village West area. Route 116, often referred to as "The Village West Express," serves the surrounding retail and entertainment district, connecting to certain park-and-ride locations. However, direct, frequent bus routes specifically for event-day transit from wider Kansas City are limited, and attendees should verify current schedules and special event services via the KCATA or Unified Government Transit websites.

Extensive surface parking is available directly surrounding Children's Mercy Park. Official lots, including Lots A through L, are situated immediately adjacent to the stadium. Parking fees are typically charged per event, and pre-purchasing passes online via the Sporting Kansas City official website is highly recommended to secure a space and potentially reduce entry delays. Expect significant congestion on all access roads and within the lots for 60-90 minutes before and after major events.

Entrances are located at various points around the stadium perimeter. Guests should consult their ticket for the recommended gate. All attendees are subject to bag checks and metal detector screening; standard clear bag policies are strictly enforced (e.g., clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"). Backpacks, large purses, and opaque bags are generally prohibited. Arriving 45-60 minutes prior to the scheduled event start is advisable to navigate security checks and find seats without rushing.
