DATCU Stadium

Denton's commuter rail, the DCTA A-Train, provides service to the city. The most practical station for accessing DATCU Stadium is MedPark Station, located approximately 3.5 miles east of the venue. From MedPark Station, visitors can transfer to a DCTA Connect Bus (Routes 7 or 8), which offers a direct connection to the UNT campus area, a journey of approximately 15-20 minutes. Alternatively, ride-share services from MedPark typically take 8-10 minutes. A direct walk from the station to the stadium is not recommended due to the significant distance, typically exceeding an hour.

DCTA Connect Bus routes serve the University of North Texas campus extensively, providing connections throughout Denton and to the A-Train. Key routes such as 7 and 8 operate frequently to stops within a short walk of the stadium. During major events, UNT often supplements regular services with dedicated shuttle buses from designated remote parking areas or DCTA stations. Consulting the DCTA and UNT transportation websites for event-specific schedules and routes is highly advisable.

Numerous official parking lots are available on and around the UNT campus for event parking. Primary parking zones include lots surrounding Fouts Field, the Mean Green Village, and other designated campus areas, all within a 10-minute walk. Event parking fees typically range from $10 to $30. For high-attendance events, pre-booking parking passes online via the UNT Athletics website is strongly recommended to guarantee a spot and alleviate arrival congestion.

Main entry gates are strategically positioned along the north, south, east, and west perimeters of the stadium. Gate opening times are generally 60 to 90 minutes prior to the scheduled start of an event. Expect thorough security checks, including bag inspections (often limited to clear bags meeting specific size requirements) and metal detector screening. Arriving at least 45 minutes before the published door time is recommended to allow ample time to navigate queues and security procedures efficiently.
