Durham County Cricket Club

The nearest mainline station is Durham Railway Station, approximately 6 miles to the south-west, served by the East Coast Main Line. From Durham, a taxi or local bus service (e.g., Arriva X21/21 from Durham Bus Station) is required for the journey to the venue. Alternatively, Chester-le-Street Station, serving local lines, is closer at approximately 1.5 miles. From Chester-le-Street Station, it is an approximate 25-minute walk west then south-west, following Station Road and then the B1284 (Waldridge Road/Blind Lane) directly to the venue.

Several local bus routes serve the area, with key services being the Arriva X21 and 21, which connect Durham, Chester-le-Street, and Newcastle. The nearest bus stops are "Durham Cricket Club" or "Birtley Road End" on the B1284, situated directly adjacent to the ground. For major events, special shuttle bus services are often operated from Durham and Newcastle city centres; check event-specific travel advisories.

On-site parking is available in official stadium car parks (e.g., Car Park 1, Car Park 2), though spaces are limited and frequently require advance booking, particularly for large events. Congestion around the venue is significant on event days. An official Park & Ride scheme is also often implemented for major concerts, operating from designated off-site locations with shuttle bus transfers. Fees apply for all parking, and pre-booking is strongly advised to guarantee a space and avoid delays.
