Emo's East

Austin's CapMetro Rail system serves primarily as a commuter service. The nearest station, Plaza Saltillo (Red Line), is approximately 2.5 miles northwest of the venue. A direct walk from Plaza Saltillo to Emo's East down East 5th Street and then south on Pleasant Valley Road would take approximately 45-50 minutes. Public rail is not the most convenient option for direct venue access.

Emo's East is well-served by Austin's CapMetro bus network. Routes #7 (Duval/Dove Springs), #10 (South 1st/Red River), #20 (Manor Rd/Riverside), and #300 (MetroRapid South) all operate along East Riverside Drive. The closest bus stops, "2000 Riverside/Burton" or "Riverside/Lakeshore", are typically within a 1 to 3-minute walk of the venue's entrance.

Emo's East offers a limited number of paid parking spaces on-site, which often fill rapidly on event nights. Several commercial paid parking lots are available along East Riverside Drive and adjacent side streets like Wickersham Lane and Burton Drive, generally within a 5 to 10-minute walk. Advance booking of parking is highly recommended to mitigate congestion and secure a spot.

The main entrance is situated directly on East Riverside Drive. Queue arrangements typically form outside along the sidewalk. Patrons should anticipate standard security procedures including bag checks and metal detector screenings. Arriving 30-45 minutes prior to the advertised door time is advisable to ensure smooth entry, particularly for popular shows.
