Gate Arts Centre Cardiff

The nearest mainline station is Cardiff Queen Street. From the station exit onto Station Terrace, head north-east towards Bute Street. Turn right onto Bute Street, then left onto Adam Street. Turn right onto Fitzalan Place, then left onto City Road, before turning right onto Keppoch Street. This route constitutes an approximately 1.2-kilometre, 15-minute walk south-east.

Several Cardiff Bus routes serve the vicinity. Key stops can be found on City Road, a short walk from the venue. Routes such as the 27, 28, 57, and 58 frequently pass along City Road, providing connections across the city and to Cardiff Central bus station.

On-street parking directly around the venue on Keppoch Street is primarily resident permit-only and extremely limited. Pay-and-display options can be found on sections of nearby main roads such as City Road and Newport Road, though these fill quickly, particularly during peak times. For longer stays, paid car parks like Howard Gardens Car Park (CF24 0PN) or Cardiff Royal Infirmary Car Park (CF24 0WZ) are available within an 8 to 10-minute walk north-west and south-west, respectively. Advance booking or early arrival is recommended for commercial car parks.

The main entrance is directly on Keppoch Street. For popular events, queues typically form on the pavement leading up to the main doors. Standard security checks, including bag searches, are routine upon entry. It is advisable to arrive 20-30 minutes before the advertised door time, especially for general admission standing events, to allow for entry procedures and to secure a preferred spot within the hall.
