The nearest mainline station is Meppen (Ems), located approximately 2.8 kilometres south-east of the arena. This is an approximately 35-minute walk west along Bahnhofstraße, turning north onto Lathener Straße to reach the venue.

Navigating to the Hänsch Arena via bus is a straightforward and accessible option for many attendees. Several bus stops are situated within a short walking distance of the venue, with the most prominent being the "Arena Road" stop, directly adjacent to the main entrance. Key bus route numbers serving this stop include the 22, which connects the city centre and surrounding residential areas like Northgate, and the 45, offering links to the western suburbs and the university campus. For those coming from further afield or seeking late-night transport, checking local operator schedules is advisable, as night bus services may operate on weekends or specific event nights, though these are not guaranteed. Journey times from the city centre are typically brief, usually around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Local bus services are primarily operated by 'Meppen Connect'.

The arena features several designated parking areas, including P1, P2, and P3, which are directly accessible from Lathener Straße and Schützenhofallee. On major event days, these car parks typically fill rapidly, and significant traffic congestion is to be expected in the immediate vicinity of the stadium. Pre-booking for these facilities is generally not available, making early arrival crucial. Parking fees usually apply.

The Hänsch Arena is committed to providing an accessible and enjoyable experience for all patrons. The venue boasts multiple step-free entrances, and lifts are available to access all seating tiers and facilities, ensuring seamless wheelchair accessibility throughout the building. Dedicated accessible viewing areas are available for seated events, offering excellent sightlines. Throughout the arena, accessible toilet facilities are clearly signposted and equipped to meet the needs of disabled visitors. For those with hearing impairments, induction loop systems are in operation at the main box office and information points. Assistance dogs are warmly welcomed, and designated relief areas are available upon request. A limited number of accessible parking spaces are located in the nearest car park to the main entrance. Venue staff are trained to offer assistance wherever needed; please approach any member of our team for support.

Main spectator entrances are located along Lathener Straße, with supplementary gates around the stadium perimeter for specific stands. Queue management is handled by event staff, often segregating lines based on ticket type or seating section. All attendees should anticipate comprehensive bag searches and security checks; only small bags (typically A4 size or smaller) are permitted. To ensure smooth entry and allow ample time to navigate security and locate your position, it is recommended to arrive at least 60 to 90 minutes prior to the advertised event start time.
