The nearest mainline station is Hull Paragon Interchange, located approximately 2.5 miles south of the university campus. From the station, a 45-minute walk north along Ferensway and then west onto Cottingham Road will lead to the university gates.

Several Stagecoach bus routes serve the university directly. Routes 103, 104, and 105 frequently stop along Cottingham Road, directly outside the main campus entrance. The journey from Hull Paragon Interchange typically takes 15-20 minutes by bus. Coach services generally terminate at Hull Paragon Interchange, requiring a subsequent bus or taxi transfer.

On-campus visitor parking is available at several designated car parks, including those accessed off Salmon Grove (via Inglemire Lane) or Argyle Street. These are typically pay-and-display facilities, often with charges varying by duration. During peak university times or large events, spaces can be limited, and advance booking or arrival well before showtime is advisable to secure a spot.

The main entrance to Middleton Hall is clearly signposted within the university campus. Queue arrangements on the paved areas outside the hall are generally orderly. Standard security protocols, including bag searches, are routine upon entry. Arriving 30-45 minutes before the advertised door time is recommended to allow for security checks, ticket scanning, and any pre-show refreshments.
