The nearest major rail hub is Bochum Hauptbahnhof (Bochum Hbf). From Bochum Hbf, take tram lines 308 (direction Hattingen Mitte) or 318 (direction Dahlhausen) to the "Bergbau-Museum" stop. From this stop, Matrix Bochum is approximately a 5-minute walk (400m) east along Castroper Straße, then turning left onto Hauptstraße.

Several local bus routes serve the area, with the "Bergbau-Museum" stop being the most convenient connection point. Key routes include those connecting to Bochum's central areas and surrounding districts, ensuring accessibility via the VRR public transport network.

For those arriving by car, the "Parkhaus P8 Schauspielhaus" (Oskar-Hoffmann-Straße 65, 44787 Bochum) is a structured parking option located approximately an 11-minute walk (850m) from the venue. Fees apply, and congestion can be expected on event nights; advance booking is not typically available for this facility. Street parking directly adjacent to the venue is limited and often restricted.

The main entrance is located on Hauptstraße. Security checks, including bag searches, are standard upon entry. It is advisable to arrive 30-45 minutes before the advertised start time for popular events to navigate queues and security procedures comfortably. Patrons should have valid identification ready for age verification if required.
