Columbus, Ohio, does not currently have mainline passenger rail service. The nearest Amtrak stations are located in cities such as Alliance, OH (approximately a 2-hour 30-minute drive northeast) or Toledo, OH (approximately a 2-hour drive northwest), making rail an impractical option for direct arrival.

Numerous parking garages and surface lots are available on the Ohio State University campus, primarily to the stadium's rear (east) and inland (south). Notable options include the Lane Avenue Garage, Tuttle Park Place Garage, and the Neil Avenue Garage. Event day parking fees are typically high, and lots fill rapidly. Advance online booking for specific garages is strongly recommended via the OSU CampusParc website to guarantee a space and expedite entry. Expect significant congestion on arterial roads leading to the campus before and after events.

Ohio Stadium is committed to providing an accessible experience for all its visitors. Wheelchair access is available throughout the venue, with designated ramps and lifts providing entry to various seating areas and concourses. Accessible toilet facilities are strategically located for ease of use. For those with hearing impairments, induction loop systems are often in place within the main seating bowl and at information points; checking with venue staff upon arrival is recommended. Assistance dogs and service animals are welcome throughout the stadium, with designated relief areas available. Given the stadium's orientation with its western aspect facing the Olentangy River, primary access points on the river side include gates near the Olentangy River Trail. However, the most heavily trafficked gates, such as those on the east and south sides (Gates 14, 23, 39), are reached from the inland campus approaches. All entrants are subject to security screening, including metal detectors and bag searches. A clear bag policy is strictly enforced. Guests are advised to arrive 60-90 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to allow ample time for transit, security checks, and locating seats, especially given the vast scale of the venue.
