Payne Arena

Given its location in Hidalgo, Payne Arena is not directly served by a mainline rail or metro system designed for commuter access. Visitors relying on intercity rail services would typically arrive at distant hubs and complete their journey to Hidalgo via car or bus.

The Valley Metro Transit (VMT) provides local bus service within the region. VMT Route 3, operating along North 10th Street, offers stops within a 5-minute walk of the arena's main entrance at 2600 N 10th St. Check the VMT schedule for specific route times, especially for late-night events.

Ample on-site parking is available around the arena's perimeter, accessible from North 10th Street. Expect a flat event fee upon entry to the parking lots. For major events, parking areas can become congested, so advance booking through the arena's official website is often recommended to secure a spot and potentially expedite entry.

The Payne Arena is committed to providing an accessible experience for all patrons. Wheelchair access is available throughout the venue, with accessible entrances and lifts to all levels. Designated wheelchair viewing areas are located in prime positions within the auditorium, offering excellent sightlines. Accessible toilets are situated on each level, equipped with ample space and necessary facilities. For those with hearing impairments, induction loop systems are available at the main box office and in selected seating areas during specific events; please check in advance when booking tickets. Assistance dogs and registered service animals are welcome within the arena, and dedicated relief areas can be provided upon request. Accessible parking spaces are available in the nearby Citadel Car Park. Arena staff are trained to offer assistance and guidance to visitors with disabilities; please do not hesitate to approach a member of our team upon arrival.
