Red Bull Ring

The nearest mainline rail station is Knittelfeld Bahnhof. From Knittelfeld, a dedicated shuttle bus service typically operates directly to the Red Bull Ring's primary spectator entrances on major event days, a journey that can take approximately 15-25 minutes depending on traffic. Walking from Knittelfeld Bahnhof directly to the circuit is impractical due to distance and lack of pedestrian infrastructure along the main routes.

Beyond event-specific shuttles from Knittelfeld, local public bus services are limited and do not offer direct, high-frequency routes to the circuit's main entrance. For major events, event organizers often arrange additional regional bus services from larger towns and cities in Styria, with drop-off points near the circuit's main spectator gates. Specific routes and schedules are published closer to event dates.

Extensive temporary and permanent parking facilities are available around the circuit, particularly to the north and east of the main entrance gates off the L503 (Red Bull Ring Straße). These are typically large, open-air fields designated for event parking. Fees are standard for major events, and due to high demand, advance online booking is strongly advised. Expect significant congestion on approach roads and during departure, particularly following the conclusion of headline events.

Multiple main entry points are used for spectator access, clearly signposted according to ticket type and grandstand/general admission area. These are primarily located along Red Bull Ring Straße and adjacent access roads. Queue arrangements are managed with extensive barrier systems leading to security checkpoints for bag searches and ticket scanning. Arriving at least 2-3 hours before the start of major track action or concert performance is recommended to allow ample time for entry and navigating to your viewing area.
