The Anvil Basingstoke

Basingstoke railway station is the nearest mainline connection, served by South Western Railway and CrossCountry services. From the station exit, turn right onto Station Road and walk directly ahead. Cross Churchill Way at the designated pedestrian crossing. The Anvil's main entrance is then approximately 50 metres to your right. This walk typically takes 6 minutes.

Basingstoke Bus Station, situated next to Festival Place shopping centre, is less than a 5-minute walk from The Anvil. Numerous local bus routes converge here, providing extensive connections across Basingstoke and surrounding areas. National coach services also utilise the bus station for regional links.

Several paid car parks are available within a 10-minute walk. The Festival Place Car Park (multi-storey, accessible from Ringway North) and Central Car Park (multi-storey, off New Road) are primary options, though they can become busy during peak times. The smaller Churchill Way Car Park is closer but often fills early. Advance booking via the respective parking operators is advisable for evening events to secure a space and mitigate potential congestion.

The main entrance is prominently located on Churchill Way. Queue arrangements are typically organised along the pavement directly outside the venue. Standard security checks, including bag searches, are in operation, so patrons should anticipate minor delays. Arriving 30-45 minutes before the advertised door time is recommended, particularly for popular standing-room events, to allow ample time for entry, cloakroom use, and bar service.
