The Salt Shed

The nearest CTA 'L' station is North/Clybourn (Red Line), located approximately a 20-minute walk east. From the station, proceed west on North Avenue, then north on Clybourn Avenue, and finally west on Armitage Avenue towards Elston Avenue. For regional Metra services, the Clybourn Metra Station (Union Pacific North/Northwest lines) is a longer 30-minute walk northeast from the venue, requiring navigation primarily along North Elston Avenue.

Key CTA bus routes serving the vicinity include the #50 Damen Avenue bus, with stops approximately a 10-minute walk west of the venue. Additionally, routes operating along North Avenue and Armitage Avenue provide connections to the broader Chicago public transit network, with stops generally within a 15-minute walk of the venue's Elston Avenue frontage.

On-site parking directly at The Salt Shed is extremely limited and typically reserved for specific event access or requires advance booking. Several third-party parking garages and surface lots are available within a 15-minute radius, particularly north along Elston Avenue or east towards Clybourn Avenue. Parking fees fluctuate based on demand and location, and pre-booking via platforms such as SpotHero or ParkWhiz is strongly advised, especially for high-attendance events, to mitigate congestion and secure a spot.

The principal public entrance is located on North Elston Avenue. Queueing arrangements are managed along the sidewalk, extending south from the main entry doors. Standard security protocols are rigorously enforced, including bag checks and metal detector screenings. Patrons are recommended to arrive 30-45 minutes prior to the advertised door time to ensure ample time for entry procedures and to facilitate securing preferred vantage points within the standing-room hall.
