Ullevi Stadium

For concert-goers travelling by train to Ullevi Stadium, the nearest major station is Gothenburg Central Station (Göteborgs Centralstation). This bustling hub is located approximately 3 kilometres (about 1.8 miles) from the stadium, a journey typically taking around 30-40 minutes on foot, or a much shorter time via public transport. The station is a major nexus for SJ (Swedish Railways) and various regional lines, connecting Gothenburg to virtually all major Swedish cities, including Stockholm, Malmö, and Uppsala, as well as international routes. Trains from major UK cities like London would typically involve a ferry or flight connection to a European city followed by a train journey, making direct train travel impractical. However, within Sweden, train journeys are frequent and efficient. Gothenburg Central Station offers comprehensive facilities, including ticket offices, waiting areas, and accessibility services, ensuring a smooth start to your visit.

Navigating to Ullevi Stadium by car is straightforward, with clear signage directing visitors from major motorways. If approaching from the south or west, you'll typically follow signs for E6/E20, then transition onto local routes towards the city centre and stadium. For sat-nav users, the stadium complex is well-signarded, but using the postcode 412 54 Gothenburg will direct you to the general vicinity. Parking directly at Ullevi can be limited, especially on event days, so exploring nearby options is advisable. There are several multi-storey car parks within a 10-15 minute walk, such as Nordstan or Park Avenyn. Estimated parking costs can vary but generally range from 20-40 SEK per hour. While dedicated park-and-ride facilities aren't commonly advertised for Ullevi specifically, utilizing the outer tram or bus lines into the city centre and then transferring to routes serving the stadium is a practical alternative. Accessibility parking is usually available closer to the venue entrances but requires pre-booking or a valid disabled badge.

Ullevi Stadium is committed to providing an accessible experience for all its visitors. The venue offers excellent wheelchair accessibility, with designated ramps and lifts providing access to various levels and seating areas. Accessible toilet facilities are strategically located throughout the stadium to ensure convenience. For those with hearing impairments, induction loop systems are typically available for many events, though it's advisable to check specific event details or inquire upon arrival. Assistance dogs and service animals are welcome at Ullevi Stadium, with designated areas for them to use. Accessible parking spaces are available in close proximity to the stadium entrances, though these are often limited and may require advance booking or a valid disabled permit. Venue staff are trained to provide assistance to visitors with disabilities, and ushers are readily available to help navigate the venue and ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
