Alte Oper Erfurt

The nearest mainline station is Erfurt Hauptbahnhof. From the station, the Alte Oper is a 12-minute walk northeast. Exit the station onto Willy-Brandt-Platz and proceed east, crossing the River Gera, then continuing along Juri-Gagarin-Ring before turning left onto Gorkistraße, where the venue is located.

The Alte Oper Erfurt is well-served by the city's tram network. The "Gorkistraße" tram stop (served by tram line 3) is situated directly opposite the venue. Alternatively, the major "Anger" transit hub, connecting multiple tram lines (1, 3, 4, 5, 6), is an 8-minute walk west via Juri-Gagarin-Ring.

Several paid parking garages are available within a 10-minute radius. The "Parkhaus Forum 1" (Mainzerhofstraße 12) is a 6-minute walk, while "Tiefgarage Anger 1" (Anger 1) is approximately an 8-minute walk. Expect increased congestion and demand for spaces during event evenings; advance booking for these public facilities is generally not an option. Standard city parking tariffs apply.

The primary entrance is prominently located on Gorkistraße. Queue arrangements typically form along the pavement directly in front of the building. Standard security checks, including bag searches, are in operation. Arriving 30-45 minutes prior to the advertised show start time is advisable to allow for ticket scanning, security procedures, and accessing refreshments before the performance commences.
