Festwiese Erfurt

The nearest mainline station is Erfurt Hauptbahnhof. From there, take tram line 2 (direction "Messe") for approximately 15 minutes to the "Messe" stop. The Festwiese Erfurt is located directly adjacent to the Messe Erfurt exhibition grounds, a walk of under 5 minutes north-west from the tram stop.

Tram line 2 is the primary public transport link, providing direct access from Erfurt city centre and the Hauptbahnhof to the "Messe" stop. Additional bus services may operate during major events; check local transport authority (EVAG) schedules for event-specific route adjustments.

Ample paid parking facilities are available at the adjacent Messe Erfurt, including car parks P1, P2, and P3. Expect significant congestion and potential delays on event days. While advance booking for these specific car parks is not always offered, arriving well in advance is strongly advised to secure a space and mitigate travel stress. Fees apply.

Entry points are typically situated along Gothaer Straße and the access roads leading to the Messe Erfurt grounds. Specific gate assignments will be detailed on event tickets or organiser information. Standard bag search procedures are in effect. For popular events, arriving 60-90 minutes before the advertised start time is recommended to navigate queues and security checks efficiently.
