Strange Brew benefits from its central location adjacent to the Broadmead bus station, a major hub for Bristol's public transport network. Numerous First Bus routes serve Broadmead, with stops within a 2-minute walk of the venue. National Express and Megabus services typically arrive and depart from Bristol Bus & Coach Station on Marlborough Street, a 7-minute walk north-east of Strange Brew.

For those travelling by car, several paid multi-storey car parks are available within a short radius. Cabot Circus car park (BS2 9AB) is the most convenient, located directly above the Broadmead retail area, approximately a 2-minute walk north-east. The Galleries car park (BS1 3XA) is also a viable option, a 5-minute walk south-west. Expect city centre tariffs; advance booking, particularly for evening events, is highly recommended to secure a space and potentially reduce costs.

The primary entrance is located on Fairfax Street. For popular events, queues typically form along the pavement outside the venue. Standard security procedures, including bag searches, are in place. To ensure a smooth entry and sufficient time to enjoy the bar before the performance, arriving 15 to 30 minutes before the advertised doors time is advisable.
