The nearest train station is Derby Station. From the station, The Hairy Dog is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Upon exiting the station, head towards the city centre, following signs for the bus station and then navigating towards Becket Street. Taxis are also readily available outside the station.

Derby has a comprehensive bus network. Numerous bus routes terminate at or pass through the Derby City Centre Bus Station, which is a short walk from The Hairy Dog. From the bus station, it’s a straightforward 5-10 minute walk to the venue. Check local bus timetables for specific route information from your starting point.

Parking in Derby city centre can be challenging, particularly on gig nights. It is advisable to plan your parking in advance.

• Bold Lane Car Park: (DE1 2DE) This is one of the closest multi-storey car parks to the venue, approximately a 5-minute walk away.
• Derby City Council North Riverside Car Park: (DE1 2FG) Located a bit further out but often with more availability, this car park is about a 10-15 minute walk.
• Street Parking: Limited on-street parking may be available on surrounding streets, but always check restrictions and pay-and-display times. It is often more practical to use a dedicated car park for evening events.
