Merkur Spiel-Arena

The primary rail access is via U-Bahn line U78, which connects directly to the "Düsseldorf Arena/Messe Nord" station. From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (main station), the U78 offers a direct service, taking approximately 15-20 minutes. The walk from the U-Bahn station to the arena entrance is under 5 minutes along a dedicated pedestrian walkway towards Arena-Straße 1.

While the U78 U-Bahn line is the most efficient public transit option, local bus services may supplement transport on event days. The "Düsseldorf Arena/Messe Nord" stop serves some local bus routes. For event-specific bus connections, it is advisable to consult the Rheinbahn (local transport operator) website closer to the event date.

Extensive paid parking facilities are available in designated areas P1, P2, P3, P5, and P7, all located within a 10-minute walk of the arena and accessible via Arena-Straße. These parking areas are often shared with the adjacent Messe Düsseldorf exhibition grounds. Significant traffic congestion is common on approach roads and during departure on event days. Advance online booking for parking is strongly advised to secure a space and mitigate queuing delays.

The Merkur Spiel-Arena is committed to ensuring a positive and accessible experience for all visitors. The venue offers excellent wheelchair accessibility, with ramped entrances, accessible lifts to all levels, and dedicated wheelchair viewing areas offering prime sightlines. Fully accessible toilets are located throughout the concourses. For visitors with hearing impairments, an induction loop system is available at the main information points and customer service desks. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the venue, and water bowls can be provided upon request. While specific facilities for service animals are not explicitly detailed, staff are trained to assist where possible. Accessible parking is situated in prime locations close to the entrances, and dedicated stewards are available to provide assistance to visitors with disabilities from their arrival through to departure.

Entry points are clearly signposted around the arena's perimeter, typically organised by block or ticket category. Main entrances are situated along Arena-Straße. Expect managed queue arrangements, thorough bag searches, and security screening. Patrons are advised to arrive 60-90 minutes prior to the advertised event start time to allow sufficient time for transit, security procedures, and navigation to their designated seating or standing areas. Only small bags, typically not exceeding A4 size, are permitted inside the venue.
