Pier 2

For those travelling to Pier 2 by train, the nearest major station is Bremen Hauptbahnhof. This central station is approximately a 20-minute walk (around 1.5 kilometres) from the venue, making it easily accessible on foot. Bremen Hauptbahnhof is a major hub served by numerous Deutsche Bahn (DB) lines, including the ICE (Intercity-Express) high-speed services connecting it to cities across Germany and beyond. Regular services from key UK cities often involve connections via Eurostar to the continent, followed by high-speed rail. While direct train journeys from major UK cities like London are not feasible without transfers, connecting services can bring you to Bremen Hauptbahnhof within a reasonable timeframe. The station itself is well-equipped, offering ticket offices, information desks, and accessibility services to assist travellers. Plan your journey in advance to coordinate with the frequency of international and national train services.

Driving to Pier 2 requires navigating Bremen's road network. If approaching from major motorways like the A1 or A27, follow signs towards the city centre and then look for directions to the Überseestadt area, where Pier 2 is located. A useful postcode for satellite navigation systems, if different from the venue's specific address, would be for the general Überseestadt district, such as 28197. Parking options near Pier 2 can include on-street parking, which may be limited and time-restricted, as well as multi-storey car parks in the vicinity. Dedicated parking for the venue itself might be available depending on the event, but it's wise to check in advance. Estimated parking costs can vary significantly, from a few Euros per hour to a daily rate of around €10-€15 for larger car parks. While dedicated park and ride facilities directly at Pier 2 are uncommon, using Bremen's public transport park and ride sites and completing the journey by tram or bus is a viable alternative.

Pier 2 is committed to providing an accessible experience for all its visitors. Wheelchair access is generally well-catered for, with accessible entrances and ramps where necessary. Lifts are available to access different levels of the venue, and designated accessible seating areas are provided for many events, offering excellent views. The venue typically features accessible toilets equipped with the necessary grab rails and space. For visitors with hearing impairments, induction loop systems are often available, so it's recommended to inquire with venue staff upon arrival or in advance. Assistance dogs and service animals are usually welcome at Pier 2; confirming the venue's specific policy beforehand is always a good idea. If available, designated accessible parking spaces will be located in close proximity to the venue entrances. Venue staff are generally trained to offer assistance and support to visitors with disabilities, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable visit.

The main entrance to Pier 2 is located on Gröpelinger Fährweg. Entry procedures include ticket scanning and mandatory bag checks, which can lead to queues during peak arrival times. For optimal experience and to avoid missing early performances, arriving 30-45 minutes before the advertised door time is recommended, especially for sold-out events. Standard security policies regarding prohibited items are strictly enforced.
