The route involves proceeding west from the station along West Street, which becomes Oxford Road, then Tilehurst Road.

Reading Buses routes 15, 16, and 17 stop directly adjacent to the park entrances on Tilehurst Road. These services offer frequent connections from Reading Station and the town centre. Additionally, Reading Buses route 26 runs along Liebenrood Road, serving the southern perimeter of the park.

Prospect Park operates a dedicated car park accessible off Liebenrood Road. Fees may apply depending on the event and time of day, with charges managed via ANPR systems or pay-and-display. During major events, this car park fills rapidly, and street parking in residential areas is severely restricted; advance booking or alternative transport is strongly advised.
